A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR ROGER

We are so glad you are planning to visit with us here at Whitby Christian. WCA is a cultural mosaic with vibrant worship and ministry. We value ALL people and generations and we hope that you feel very much at home when you visit. This is a place where we connect with God and each other, where we grow in faith and are encouraged.
It is our mission to bring the message of Jesus Christ to the Durham Region and beyond. We believe that God can change us into the people we are destined to be: filed with Hope, Light and Love.

WCA is a great church, and we hope you’ll think so too.

Looking forward to your visit!

Pastor Roger and Ingrid

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN VISITING?

Where and when is the Sunday morning service?

WCA is located at the corner of Rossland Road and Brock Road in Whitby, at 100 Rossland Rd. West. We have one Sunday morning service that starts at 10:00AM every week. Multi services beginning January 7th 2018.

Where should we park?

Our parking attendants will help you find space in our lot so you can easily find a place to park. We also have an off-site shuttle to overflow parking that runs from 7:15 until the end of the morning. Shuttles remain on the church property throughout the morning, so in the event that you need to leave at any time, they can take you to your vehicle. The overflow lot is located at 575 Rossland Road East, just a couple minutes east of the church.

Where do we go from here?

If you have any specific questions, make sure to check in at the information desk in the main lobby to find out about our children’s program and nursery care that is available to you. If you arrive late to a service, an usher can help you find a seat. We encourage you to arrive early so you can get a great parking space, and a great seat (win-win).

What do I wear?

At WCA, we adopt a “come as you are” approach. Dress for a Sunday morning ranges from casual or business casual to business professional.

How long is the service?

Typically WCA’s service runs 75 minutes from start to finish.

What should I expect at the service?

WCA’s services focus mainly on worship and preaching the word of God. We’ll share some announcements during the morning, express our hearts to God though music, and hear an engaging teaching about God’s word.

One of the highlights of WCA is our worship team and their talented ability to lead the congregation into a meaningful time with God. Our worship team consists of a full band and choir arrangements, leading in contemporary worship songs.

What about my kids?

WC Kids programs run during the service and keep your children ages 0 – Grade 5 engaged and discovering God in creative, fun ways that can positively impact their lives. Whether your little ones are in Nursery, the 2 year old classroom, the 3 year old classroom, the 4&5 year old classroom, or Kids Church, we partner with you to help them grow into young Christians, while you can enjoy and be blessed by our main service.

Parents are always welcome to attend and observe any of our children’s ministries.
